Do your eyebrows!
I'm not talking about Freda Kahlo brows. Just normal attractive eyebrows.
For example, I recently saw a woman who has beautiful snow white hair, a great smile, lots of energy and enthusiasm...... and invisible eyebrows. She looks expressionless.
And then I saw another woman who, for some strange reason, tweezed the heck out of her brows and pencils in skinny little parentheses over her eyes. She looks surprised and vintage...and not in a good way.
This is the season of eyebrows. From Cara Delevigne to Jennifer Aniston, eyebrows are front and center.
And the classic beauties like Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor and Marilyn Monroe all had gorgeous eyebrows that worked so well on their faces.
Fortunately, there are so very many eyebrow powders, creams, brushes, pencils and tubes that absolutely anyone can find the right one to make your eyebrows look like they are supposed to look. They frame your eyes, enhance your face and your expressions, set off your glasses and finish your look.
This is so important to help you hide your age, enhance your face and it is sooooo easy to do. Why women can't be bothered with this simple step to make you look better is beyond me?
My favorite is ELF brow kit ($6 at Target) and I got Medium (to match the existing color of my brows). There's a brush with a pointy end and a flat end. The pointy end is used in the powder to fill in your brows and the flat end goes into the tinted brow wax to lock in the powder and keep the brows flat and in place. I watched a YouTube video with a young woman showing how she uses this very kit....she uses the wax first, then the powder but that doesn't make any sense to me. Do what works best, always.
If you don't know how to do your brows, go to Ulta, Sephora or most salons (best to have an appointment first) and let a pro do it for you. Maintenance should be easy, just don't overdo it!
This is actually a pet peeve of mine and thank you for letting me get it off my chest...or forehead!
